
At The Monk House, we understand that travel plans can change. Our Cancellation & Refund Policy is designed to be transparent and fair while aligning with the policies of the booking platforms used.
1. Booking Platform Policy
- All reservations made through third-party platforms such as Airbnb are governed primarily by the cancellation and refund policies of those platforms.
- Guests are advised to carefully review the cancellation policy displayed at the time of booking on the respective platform.
2. Cancellations
- Cancellation requests must be initiated through the same platform or channel from which the booking was made.
- The applicable cancellation terms (Flexible, Moderate, or Strict) will apply as per the booking confirmation.
3. Refund Eligibility
- Refunds, if applicable, are processed according to the cancellation policy selected at the time of booking.
- The Monk House does not process refunds directly for bookings made via third-party platforms.
- Any service fees charged by booking platforms are non-refundable, unless stated otherwise by the platform.
4. No-Show Policy
- In case of a no-show (failure to check in on the scheduled date without prior notice), no refund will be provided.
5. Early Check-Out
- Guests who choose to check out early after check-in will not be eligible for a refund for unused nights, unless explicitly permitted under the booking platform’s policy.
6. Date Modification
- Requests for date changes are subject to availability and must be made through the original booking platform.
- Any change in dates may result in a difference in tariff, which will be borne by the guest.
7. Force Majeure
- In circumstances beyond control such as natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, or emergencies, refunds or rescheduling will be handled as per the policies of the booking platform.
- The Monk House will assist guests wherever possible but is not obligated to provide refunds outside the applicable platform policy.
8. Refund Processing Time
- If approved, refunds are processed by the booking platform and may take 7–14 business days (or as per the platform’s timeline) to reflect in the guest’s account.
9. Special Offers & Discounts
- Bookings made under promotional rates, special discounts, or long-stay offers may be subject to different cancellation terms and may be non-refundable.
